PICTURES and DIAGRAMSAny format of picture can be submitted but obviously the higher the quality the better. Don’t forget the magazine will be reproduced in Black and white, so take this in to account when submitting pictures, as dull, wishy washy picture or ones with subtle tones will not reproduce very well at all. All diagrams and line art should be in B/W. You can send in diagrams or pictures on paper for scanning in if there is no other option.
ROUGH WORD COUNTThese figures are only ball park to give you some idea of how many words are need for an article. Obviously you can do as much or as little as you like but, it just means more work for the Team. So if you could take these figures into account when you write, it’ll be very much appreiciated. One full page without any heading or pictures..... 570 words or 2500 characters One page with Large Heading No pictures........... 480 words or 2150 characters One page with Large Heading, one picture.......... 380 words or 1700 characters One page with Large heading, two pictures......... 290 words or 1300 charactersObviously you can Half these for half a page and double for 2 pages etc. You can usually check how many words and characters you’ve done from within your Word processor. Like I said these are rough numbers but should give you some guide line.
