Welcome to the world of the Diemer-Duhm Gambit (DDG). This site contains everything on this neglected gambit: games, analysis, articles, new ideas. If you are bored with trendy chess openings and would like to surprise your opponent early in the game, give the DDG a try! After all, all openings are sound below master level.
Emil Josef Diemer, father of the Blackmar-Diemer Gambit, also played the DDG. However, the crazy sacrifice of the e4-pawn, which constitutes the DDG, is mentioned only in very few books; a rare exception is Gambit Chess Openings (2002) with its fresh analysis as a response to the DDG site.
