I have flown kites at the various beaches (Crane's, Wingershaek (sp?)), but I was wondering if there were any inland sites as well. Thanks in advance! Fly at Nahant Beach, Lynn (RT 1A from Boston). That is the best place except for the summer (too many people). Now it is quite empty and beautiful. Paul Lawrence, Rony and others like me fly every weekend there. Often you can even find people during the week there (after 4 pm). About 750f the people fly stunt kites (most of them have some single liners too), maybe 25 0.000000e+00xclusively single line kites. We reached a arch-density of about 5 or 6 arches. All together about 500 kites in arches - most of them owned and made by Paul. Rony is making a nice new one. So we have lots of colour there :-). I own one with 94 kites with applications. A couple of kiters are into making line-toys, like turbos and spinbowls these days. We have a couple of very good (single line) makers who won first prices in the kite making competition in Smithsonian, Philadelphia and Newport during the last 3 years. In additions Marty Sasakie's Stunt Kite Team frequently performs there. The park is built on an old landfill, so it gets a bit squishy after rain (but that is not exactly a problem right now!) It is the highest point around, and there is normally a nice breeze.
