Re: kite paper. By this I mean the stuff that's sold as "vliegerpapier" in Holland, "Drachenpapier" in Germany, etc. Perhaps it's called something else in English and I have been confusing people by using an unfamiliar name. The stuff I'm thinking of is lightweight, slightly glossy, comes in various bright colours, takes poster paints without collapsing into a soggy mess, doesn't stretch too much, and costs no more than 50 UK pence per metre. In Europe it's usually sold in rolls of 10m or longer through art & craft shops. I've been trying to locate a supplier of kite paper in England, so far without success, to use the paper in a kite workshop I'm leading for a primary school. Having failed with all the local [Manchester] craft shops and a couple of mail order specialist kite firms [e.g. "Kiteability"], I'm stumped. Is there a British rec.kiter who knows where I can order some kite paper? Bill - - - The Revd.
