Subject: UK Cancelled Event in Swansea

Swansea Beach Kite Festival is CANCELLED
planned for 9 & 10 September

'Kite Show Grounded by Council' reads the headline in an August
edition of the South Wales Evening Post.

If you were planning on going to the above event the two day festival
has been cancelled
due to lack of monetary support from the council.

Al Upton of Kites of Fancy asked for 2,500 to 3,000 of council money
to help organise an event to herald the year of the Chinese Moon, with
demonstrations from Chinese experts demonstrating kite flying as well
as displays from the British Buggy Club, evening Chinese Lanterns on
the promenade and a fireworks display.
