The beach is very deep, plenty of room for sport kiting. The beach can get a little crowded, I recommend you use the stretch just south of Santa Monica, North of Venice Beach, it is usually less populated with human obstacles. If you can go a little more south, go to the beach at the Marina Del Rey main channel or The Playa Del Rey Point. If you get to Playa, visit Chuck at the kite shop on Culver Blvd. If you don't like the sand, you might try the undeveloped HAC area between Playa Del Rey and Marina Del Rey. There are a few easy access points in Playa del Rey to it. Anyone else have any suggestions? regards, -- Harrell (Hal) Stiles "May the hair on your toes mailto:hstiles@beachnet.com never fall off" http://www.beachnet.com/~hstiles/index.html - frodo baggins = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
