The North Atlantic Assembly is a parliamentary organization which brings together members of parliament from all the NATO countries and many Central and East European nations. (General information about the Assembly is contained in AAN_INFO). The North Atlantic Assembly works through a set of Committees and Sub-Committees, each of which produces reports on topics of interest. The Assembly's reports enjoy an excellent reputation. They are well informed and, since the Assembly represents a broad cross-section of political opinion, they can be controversial. The reports presented here have not yet been approved by the Assembly's Committees. They are the drafts which will be discussed and amended at the Assembly's next meeting (in October 1993).
