octave-1.1.1_src_bsdi.tar.gz
Binary and source files for the Octave language. It it is high-level
language for numerical computations. Octave is a package that strives
for compatibility with MatLab (tm). Two files, one a tar of my build
directory, the other is the result of the "bin-dist" target from the
makefile. {Octave takes about 50Mb of disk space, and about 30 mins to
compile on a P5/90. Also requires the f2c converter be installed.} See
the newsgroup comp.soft-sys.{octave,matlab} for discussions. Also
see the octave.README in this directory. Ported by Marvin P. Kraska
